Currently, we are hosting our annual Summer program with 262 students receiving English education, one meal a day and physical activity. In the upcoming term for English literacy, we have 150 students enrolled.
We are committed to serving our growing population and have high hopes for the next school year. We are specifically looking forward to connecting with additional schools outside of Haiti. For those of you that haven’t heard, for the past few years we have hosted peer to peer conversations with a school in Georgia connecting our students with theirs. In more ways than one has this proven very effective and we have decided to take the next steps to build upon this initiative with the title of Global Classroom Partnerships.
Through our Global Classroom Partnerships, students in Hinche, Haiti, can connect virtually with students around the world to practice conversational English, share their cultures, build skills, and develop global perspectives. Together, all students involved can become more confident communicators, compassionate leaders, and engaged global citizens—while discovering how education can create opportunity across borders.
