Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Ending Female Genital Mutilation via Girls' Sports project. Your contribution is truly appreciated and gives hope to girls facing harmful traditional practices. However, the donations received so far are not enough to kickstart the project yet, and more support is needed.
Many girls in Nigerian communities remain at risk of female genital mutilation due to cultural pressure, silence, and lack of awareness. The practice continues to expose young girls to infections, trauma, and long-term health complications.
This project is designed to use sports activities and community engagement to create safe spaces where girls, parents, coaches, and community leaders can openly discuss the dangers of FGM and support protection for girls.
Through football matches, peer education, and awareness sessions, the project aims to help girls build confidence while encouraging families to reject harmful practices.
We remain grateful for the support received so far and hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this important work in vulnerable communities.
Thank you for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
