The South American Initiative (SAI) is deeply grateful to share the progress of our zoo program during the third quarter of 2024. While we celebrate the successes, we are also reminded of the challenges faced by the animals we serve and the urgent need for continued support.
This quarter, we delivered 1,238 lbs pounds of essential food—nutritious fruits, eggs, meats, and nuts—to partner zoos and animal refuges.
These supplies are lifelines for the animals, ensuring they receive the care they need to survive and thrive.
One of the highlights of this quarter has been watching the new baby monkey grow. Full of energy and curiosity, this little one has brought joy to its troop, exploring and learning under the protective guidance of its elders. Yet, behind this heartwarming story lies a stark reality: many animals in South America face uncertain futures due to habitat loss and limited resources.
Your support makes all the difference. It allows us to provide not just food, but hope—a chance for these animals to live with dignity and care. But the need is great, and we cannot do this alone.
By joining us as a monthly donor, you can help ensure that animal receives the nourishment and protection they deserve. Together, we can create a brighter, healthier future for these vulnerable creatures.
Thank you for being their hope.
