One zoo and two animal refugees are supported by the Animals rescue program in Venezuela! More than 60 endangered animal species are supported by SAI with food and medical attention.
In the first quarter of 2023, our team of volunteers and employees distributed 1,824 lbs of food, including carrots, corn peppers, wheat bran, tomatoes, oats, zucchini, beans, pumpkin, protein, mangos, watermelon, powdered milk, and more.
We have great news: Our team rescued an endangered bird that was in a severely impaired state upon arrival. It is believed that it had been electrocuted prior to its admission. Our team of veterinarians immediately provided treatment for the animal. After undergoing treatment for a month, the bird is now able to stand independently. We anticipate that in a few months, the bird will be able to return to flight. Together, we are making a positive impact on animals’ lives through our care and efforts and your donations. Become a monthly donor and save animals lives!
Thanks to your help, we are making a difference, and together we will keep saving animal lives!
