the project has made significant progress since the Stakeholder meeting in August 2019. The Ministry of Education has approved the project and more stakeholders have come on board.
The occupation analysis for the electrical installation and maintenance, and the Automotive mechatronics trade is scheduled for the 17th - 18th Dec 2019 and 14th – 15th Jan 2020.
Subject Matter experts from the respective industries will be in attendance. The analysis provides insight into the tasks performed in the individual trades from which the training required to teach competencies to carry out various tasks successfully is developed.
The analysis for the plumbing, air conditioning and refrigeration trade will be scheduled in the coming weeks.
The two pilot schools (Wesley Girls Secondary School and Oregun High school) have allocated space for the trade workshops construction and construction will set to be completed on or before September 2020 in time for the first batch of beneficiaries.
Trade teachers training needs assessments will be conducted on Wednesday the 11th 2019. The whole day event seeks to assess the current training gaps to prepare refreshers training for teachers.
