You are saving lives
Your support has saved countless rescue cats from needless suffering. Your donations have also helped with spaying and neutering, preventing thousands of unwanted cats being born into a short life of pain and misery.
My sincere thanks goes out to all of you for your support towards this project.
I would like to share the story of Glitter, one of the rescue animals your donation helped.
Glitter was found by teachers at a local school. We manage to trap her overnight and what we found was horrifying.
She had a deep and severe injury around her chest from being caught in an inhumane trap. She was in bad shape from the chronic infection caused by the terrible wound.
The wire was deeply embedded in Glitter’s flesh, and appeared to have been stuck there for quite some time. She was in awful pain, and we don’t know how long the poor thing had been suffering.
Our nurse slowly and carefully removed the embedded wire. The wounds were very infected and Glitter received pain relief and antibiotics, and is under ongoing medical care.
Glitter’s treatment couldn’t have happened with your help. It's so very much appreciated.
Consider volunteering with us
Helping animals on a tropical island. Does this sound like a match made in heaven? For some people it does. Are you one of them, or maybe you know someone who would love to do this? We urgently need volunteers at Lanta Animal Welfare in Koh Lanta, Thailand.
It's rewarding work. You'll learn new skills, make new friends, and have the experience of a lifetime.
Whether you're good with dogs or cats...we've got both! They all need love, feeding, cleaning, and medical care. We also need host volunteers to give tours, and skilled media volunteers to take photos and video footage.
Please consider this, and share this message. There are a variety of options available, so never count yourself out.
My best wishes for 2020
Thank you for letting me share what Lanta Animal Welfare has been doing to help the rescue animals here on Koh Lanta. I am so grateful for your continuing support and wish you all a New Year filled with love and joy.
