Achvat Amim is a movement building and immersive learning program, committed to ending the occupation and advancing self-determination for all peoples in the place they call home. We bridge diaspora activism with Palestinian and Israeli partners through critical education, relationship building, and leadership training. More folks are looking for ways to engage meaningfully with Israel-Palestine now more than ever, and Achvat is meeting that need.
Co-resistance projects led by Palestinians and Israelis face growing repression. At the same time, Jewish activists worldwide are seeking meaningful ways to engage through education and solidarity. Amid rising polarization in Jewish communities and anti-war movements, there's an urgent need to equip these activists with tools to show up in principled, informed ways - grounded in relationships with those directly impacted and committed to justice for all peoples.
The cost of operating our programs has increased, while the institutional funding environment has become increasingly difficult. We want Achvat to be able to continue offering meaningful programs without making participation accessible only to people who can afford the full cost. Fundraising also allows us to invest in the less visible infrastructure that makes long-term solidarity possible: staff salaries, education, relationships with partners, emotional support, alumni organizing, etc.
Achvat alumni return as movement leaders who've witnessed these realities firsthand. They shift discourse in synagogues, campuses, and communities, expanding what's politically imaginable in spaces that might otherwise look away. Each cohort strengthens the global network of people refusing complicity and acting with integrity.
