Dear Visionaries for Afghanistan's Educational Future,
In a remarkable journey fueled by unparalleled commitment, the Dosti Foundation/Global Education Campaign (DOSTI/GEC) is spearheading the charge to eliminate illiteracy in Afghanistan, serving as a pillar of hope and transformation. Your support and belief in GEC’s shared dream of a literate, empowered Afghanistan are bringing this vision closer to reality.
Progress Highlights:
Since our last update, the "End Illiteracy in Afghanistan by 2025" initiative has made significant strides in educating and empowering Afghanistan's youth.
Student Enrollment and Impact:
It's with great enthusiasm that we share the growth in students assisted with Dosti One Room School Kits, now totaling 57,040, a reflective measure of our relentless drive to ensure every child receives a quality education, no matter their situation. This quarter alone, 4,614 students have benefited from our starter kits.
Educational Infrastructure Expansion:
Dosti One Room School network has grown to 880 schools, demonstrating our commitment to making learning environments accessible throughout Afghanistan. This quarter, we have established 92 new schools, further cementing our reach and impact.
Current Educational Landscape in Afghanistan:
Navigating through Afghanistan's complex educational landscape, marred by socio-cultural and economic barriers, our project continues to break ground, especially in enrolling female students, thereby fostering a shift towards gender-inclusive education.
The journey is far from over. With a pressing need for additional support to meet our goal of educating 100,000 Afghan children, we face a funding shortfall. Every donation, big or small, plays a crucial role in this educational crusade.
These are investments in the futures of Afghan children and the nation's progress.
Call to Action:
I invite you to persist in this noble cause with Dosti/GEC. By rallying together for education, we can turn the dream of a literate Afghanistan by 2025 into a reality, impacting one student at a time.
Thank you for your steadfast support and for believing in our mission.
With deepest appreciation,
