We work with 200 adolescent girls in Pune's slums to help them stay in school and avoid early marriage. Through girls groups, life skills, legal awareness, health camps, and community sessions, we build confidence and independence. Families and communities learn to support girls education, leading to better health, higher incomes, and brighter futures for all.
Adolescent girls from NT-DNT communities in Pune's slums face deep discrimination, unsafe living conditions, and barriers to school. Many are first-generation learners balancing domestic work and studies. They face child marriage, violence, and a lack of legal awareness. Families depend on hazardous informal work to survive. These challenges strip girls of safety, education, and dignity, keeping them trapped in poverty.
