Challenge

The intent of this organization is to provide financial support to organizations and programs that are focused on improving the health and wellness of our youth and restoring and preserving the environment and urban open-spaces. We work with a select number of quality organizations and programs that support this vision in an accountable and quantifiable manner. These currently include: Girls on the Run, The Conservation Fund, Kids on Trails, and The New York Road Runners Foundation.

Solution

Karno Kids will be actively involved in raising money through direct solicitations of individuals and corporations, through hosting fund-raising events, through selling athletic memorabilia, and through sales of commemorative merchandise.

Long-Term Impact

One-third of our youth (25 million) are either overweight or obese. The direct medical cost of treating obesity related diseases exceeds $100 billion, but the quality of life costs are much higher. It is time we reverse this unfortunate trend.
