We seek to support local education and build the skills of the next generation by raising funds to purchase of computers for schools in local villages and communities in Leskovac municipality.
According to research, approx. half of students in Serbia attend a school equipped with only 46% of digital devices connected to the Internet, as well as 57% devices that can be used in teaching, also the quality of the Internet is not sufficient (39%) as well as the quality of devices (51%). Majority of students (59%) attend a school that does not have an online learning platform available. The number of computers available to students in our country is significantly lower than average.
We want to equip classrooms in local villages and communities in Leskovac municipality, so that students have access to available technology, which will have a positive impact on the acquisition of knowledge, motivate them to be interested in new technologies and gain digital skills. Education is the right of every child, so by providing computers and equipment we can support them in learning and getting knowledge they all deserve.
Students in these schools will receive direct, adequate and individualized support for continuing education and daily life, will gain greater self-confidence and competencies, which will reduce the digital divide.
