Empower, Engage, Educate in Tanzania

Thanks to your support, Kijana Kwanza continues to help vulnerable children and young people access education and vocational training, alongside nutritious meals, school supplies, and ongoing welfare support. We work closely with families and schools to ensure each child has the practical support they need to continue learning and developing their skills.

We are proud to celebrate the achievements of seven A-level students who graduated this year, marking an important step in their educational journey. Their success reflects the commitment of the students themselves, their families, and the supporters who make opportunities like this possible.

We're also delighted to share a significant milestone for our new fostering programme, which launches in September 2026. Construction has now been completed on the first seven three-bedroom family homes, creating a safe alternative for children who have no family able to care for them.

Each home will be led by a bibi (grandmother), who will become the children's guardian while receiving secure housing and a regular income. This model enables children to grow up in a stable family environment rather than institutional care, while also supporting older women with meaningful employment and long-term security.
