This project will provide 5,000 women and youth in Puntland as to benefit the activities including vocational training, technical skills, income generating, adult education for women, informal education for women and many more support since they are the social backbone. In other words these people or group are the voiceless group because there is no one talking on behalf of them or no one respecting their rights and dignities while they have rights as well as other people including men.
Somalia has been demoralizing by civil war. Somalia - a nation that is struggling to emerge from more than two decades of civil war, Puntland state of Somalia has more 400,000 IDPs from Central and southern Somalia.The two-thirds of Somalia's youth are unemployed - one of the highest rates of joblessness in the world. Over 70 per cent of Somalia's population is under the age of 30.This project will help about 5,000 women and youth, training, technical skills.
This project will empower 5,000 women and youth training, technical skills, income generating, adult education for women, informal education for women and prevent sexual gender based violence. After graduation, they will go job market and compete to the the skills they learn, when these people find jobs will help whole family, This will improve economically, socially and lead higher live stander.
Empowerment women and youth will increase the live standard of the Puntland society and empower marginalized community. 1,500 family will be affect this project, they learn skills become productive to help them self, family and community, this group are higher employment then rest of the people, after hey find jobs, the unemployment improves.
