This project delivers high-impact, sustainable change by transforming 100 vulnerable youths into skilled, self-reliant, and productive members of the society. Implemented in cohorts, the project will provide vocational training in ICT, modern tailoring, embroidery training, mentorship and startup support. This project through our Inclusive Skill Development Initiative will empower participants to achieve self-reliance, restore dignity,reduce poverty and ensure sustainable peace.
There are currently more than 1000 Single mothers, out-of-school youth, and persons with disabilities in the Northwest Region of Cameroon who face prolonged humanitarian and economic crisis, disrupting livelihoods and education, lacking skills and access to inclusive opportunities, but exposed to hardship and exploitation. This project will positively affect more than 100 vulnerable disadvantaged persons with startup businesses and skills sets elevating their situations.
This project will empower more 100 persons with professional vocational skills and startup businesses. Using a cohort model approach, participants will be trained on tailoring, embroidering, computer/technology skills. After their training, seed capital with will given and equipment purchased and given to them to start up their businesses. Participants are also to train at least 10 disadvantage person each there by improving over 10,000 lives economically therefore restoring hope in the society.
The project will train over 100 persons directly and 10,000 indirectly allowing them to rise out of poverty, which will provide for their families there by reducing the number of street children, create employment, promote self-reliance, boost economic opportunities in the Northwest Region.
