Dalit Solidarity successfully established a new computer lab dedicated to empowering Dalit students through digital education. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and create equal learning opportunities for students from marginalized communities. The new facility will serve as a vital resource for students to develop computer literacy, access online educational materials, and enhance their employability skills in today’s technology-driven world.
The inauguration of the computer lab took place on Sep 17th, 2025 at Kakkanur. The event began with an opening prayer and welcome address by the Principal, followed by an inspiring speech from the chief guest, who emphasized the importance of digital education in transforming young lives.
The newly established lab is equipped with 2 brand-new computers, internet connectivity, and educational software designed for students’ academic and technical growth. During the event, students were given a demonstration on basic computer operations, internet browsing, and typing skills.
Teachers and volunteers expressed their excitement about integrating technology into classroom teaching, which will enhance both teaching effectiveness and student engagement. The establishment of the computer lab marks a major step toward promoting educational equality and digital empowerment among Dalit students.
This initiative will benefit 450 students each academic year, giving them hands-on experience with computers—an opportunity that many had never experienced before. Students shared their excitement and gratitude, expressing that learning computers will help them dream bigger and compete confidently in the modern world.
Dalit Solidarity extends its heartfelt thanks to our donors, sponsors, and well-wishers whose generous support made this project possible. Special appreciation goes to our dedicated team of volunteers and educators who worked tirelessly to set up the facility and ensure smooth operations.
Your contributions have opened doors of opportunity and hope for countless young learners who now have the tools to shape a brighter future. This initiative reaffirms our commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable society where every child, regardless of background, has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
Dalit Solidarity plans to expand this program to more schools in the coming years, continuing our journey toward transforming lives through education and digital access.
