Dalit Solidarity brought good news to the unemployed women's group to alter their lives and become breadwinners. One such group was 'Gypsies' who live a life of alienation without joining the mainstream of our society. They were motivated to learn tailoring and become entrepreneur. We also supported two more women's groups in setting up tailing institute. This is a great way of altering their lives and moving them from sideline to the mainline.
These 15 girls from gypsy community at Tindivanam have picked up some skills about tailoring very quicker. Their progress has been faster and satisfactory for the last one month. This is our initiative to make them come to the mainstream of the society and make their living in a different way. Hopefully, they will graduate in April 2023 to pick up the jobs waiting.
