1. Project Overview

Project Title: Empowerment Hub Africa (e-Hub Africa)
Funding Goal: $370,000
Amount Raised: $0

Empowerment Hub Africa (e-Hub Africa) is a youth-centered initiative designed to provide a structured space for skills development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership training for young people in Liberia. The project aligns with LYFT Africa’s broader mission of youth empowerment, capacity building, and awareness creation.

2. Organizational Background

LYFT Africa (Leading Youths to Foster Transformation in Africa) is a youth-led, non-profit organization founded in 2018 in Liberia. Its mission is to support the achievement of global development goals by empowering young people through education, mentorship, and leadership development programs.

The organization has:

  • Impacted thousands of young people through awareness and mentorship programs

  • Organized career development and anti-drug campaigns

  • Facilitated international training opportunities for youth beneficiaries

LYFT Africa operates within a context where youth face limited access to quality education, high unemployment, and low entrepreneurial opportunities.

3. Project Background and Rationale

Liberia continues to experience challenges related to:

  • Youth unemployment

  • Limited access to skills training

  • Lack of innovation hubs and digital learning centers

Many young people lack access to practical, market-relevant skills, which contributes to poverty and dependency.

The e-Hub Africa project was conceptualized to address these challenges by creating a centralized empowerment hub where youth can:

  • Learn digital and vocational skills

  • Access mentorship and career guidance

  • Develop entrepreneurial ventures

4. Project Goals and Objectives Overall Goal

To empower young Liberians with skills, knowledge, and opportunities to become self-reliant and productive citizens.

Specific Objectives

  • Establish a fully equipped youth empowerment hub

  • Provide training in ICT, entrepreneurship, and leadership

  • Promote innovation and youth-led enterprises

  • Enhance employability and income-generating opportunities
