We are grateful for the opportunity to share updates on our project Empowering Young Minds. Although we have not yet received donations, our team is actively working hard to raise awareness and build support.

Over the past weeks, we have continued sharing our vision through social media, community networks, and personal outreach. The response has been encouraging, and we remain committed to spreading the word until we reach those who are willing to partner with us in this journey.

1. Introduction

“Go Empowering Young Minds” is a grassroots movement to reach underserved children and youth with mentorship, educational support, and empowerment training. We believe every child has greatness within, and we’re here to nurture it — one community at a time.

2. A Small Beginning, A Big Hope

We’re excited to share that we’ve received our first donation of $30 on GlobalGiving! While it may seem small, it represents something big — the beginning of impact.

This donation will help us begin the following:

Print awareness flyers for rural school outreach

Purchase exercise books and pencils for at least 3 children

Transport a volunteer to one target community to begin documentation and planning

3. What We've Done So Far

Volunteer Prep: We’ve trained 6 volunteers to serve as mentors and event assistants.

Community Mapping: 3 target communities (Ayetoro, Kabba, and Gwagwalada) have been surveyed and are ready for engagement.

Material Development: Mentorship outlines, character-building lesson guides, and club starter kits are ready for use.

With more support, we will be able to:

Distribute school kits to 50 children

Start the first 3 Eagles Clubs in rural areas

Organize our “My Future is Bright” teen conference

Train 10 peer mentors from within the community
