SDWA will provide women with disabilities with practical vocational and income-generating skills based on their abilities and local opportunities. Participants will receive training, learning materials, mentoring and, where resources allow, essential tools to begin home-based or community-based work. Training may include tailoring, handicrafts, digital skills and other suitable trades. SDWA will help participants develop practical pathways from training to earning.
The project aims to create lasting economic and social benefits for women with disabilities and their families. By gaining marketable skills and access to livelihood tools, participants can develop sustainable sources of income and reduce dependence on family support. Increased earning opportunities can also improve household stability, confidence and participation in community life.
