Dear friends,
Thank you all for making a donation through our global crowd-funding initiative to support Creators of Peace women in Kenya. Please accept our wholehearted gratitude for your generous gift. Knowing also that the donations come from different counties will help Kenya feel connected to and loved by this world at this time. All contributions were very special to us and will enable us to celebrate the courage and commitment of the 200 women attending our 10th anniversary.
This is a challenging time for our country and we are committed to being at the heart of efforts to foster peace. Sadly, due to the unrest after the elections, we have decided to reschedule our gathering until February 2018 to ensure a safe meeting for everyone. We will use the raised funds (a total of just over $2,500) to facilitate the preparations and delivery of the event in due course.
Also, we will share stories of what Creators of Peace women have done as a result of taking part in Creators of Peace Circles, we will explore ways to transform conflicts in our communities and strengthen our partnerships working. We will continue to work with our neighbours in Uganda and launch a new programme in Tanzania to strengthen our region as a whole.
