During the last quarter, project implementation was significantly affected by unexpected national events. The nationwide Gen-Z strike that began on 8 September 2025 led to widespread unrest, burning of properties, transportation disruptions, and safety concerns across the country. The situation escalated rapidly, resulting in death of 75 people and hundreds of injuries, creating an environment unsuitable for community-based activities & it disrupted our planed program on the 12th September.
Soon after the protests, Nepal observed its two largest national festivals, which further limited mobility, community availability, and institutional functioning. As organizing gatherings for visually impaired persons requires careful preparation, accessibility arrangements, and coordinated outreach, these circumstances made program execution unfeasible.
The project team will resume pending activities at the earliest appropriate time. We appreciate your continued understanding and support.
