Firstly, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our donors for placing your trust and confidence in us. Your belief in our mission to support underserved visually impaired women/girls continues to inspire our work with utmost dedication.
We apologize for the delay in implementing the project due to various factors. However, we are now proceeding with its execution, step by step, with slight modifications from the original plan- as explained earlier.
Initially, we had aimed to organize our first event this week, but due to the severe floods Nepal experienced this Monsoon—resulting in significant loss of life and damage to major roads and highways—many of the girls in our target group are currently unable to travel back to Kathmandu from their villages as they again need to travel back for the Tihar festivals.
As a result, we have rescheduled the event for November. The first event will be held at the Nepal Association of Blind Girls' Hostel in Danchi, on the outskirts of Kathmandu. The one-day program will include a half-day leadership training session, facilitated by our board member Mr. Sushil Adhikari, a renowned advocate for the rights of the visually impaired, followed by the distribution of essential items to approximately 50 girls.
We would also like to confirm that 100% of the donations received for this project will go directly toward supporting the target beneficiaries. This plan reaffirms our unwavering commitment to our mission. Together for Nepal's team will fully volunteer in areas such as training facilitation and logistics.
Once again, thank you for your continued support and trust in Together for Nepal. Together, we will continue to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
