The Empowering Sudan's Grassroot Women, Building Peace project implemented by Al-Khatim Adlan Center for Enlightenment, in partnership with Khartoum State Emergency Rooms, supported the empowerment of women in Khartoum State, Sudan. The initiative focused on enhancing access to healthcare, protection, and economic opportunities for women. Medical services and supplies were provided to pregnant women, contributing to safer deliveries. Additionally, women-led initiatives were supported with 20% of project funding, and inclusive activities were ensured, accessible to persons with disabilities and marginalized groups.
The project contributed to enhancing women's access to healthcare and protection services, promoting their participation in community decision-making processes. The intervention had a positive impact on the lives of women and their families, as exemplified by a beneficiary who expressed gratitude for the free surgical procedure provided to her son, enabling him to return to school. We are grateful to all who have supported this cause. Thank you.
