Dear friends,

This project recently received a financial boost of $3000 through a draw organised by Street Business School, a partner USA-based NGO. We used the funds to implement a two-month basic business training using a curriculum developed by Street Business School. We adopted the eight module course to suit our beneficiaries background. The course was well-received and became an essential component of our economic empowerment programme targeting ultra-poor women.

So far, 39 women have graduated and received their certificates. Conversation with the women beneficiaries has revealed that the knowledge gained has contributed to their business growth. Most women now keep proper records of their business dealings, and their understanding of marketing strategies to attract new customers has improved.

In addition to the thirty-eight who have graduated, 40 are currently undergoing training and will graduate next month. We are hopeful the training provided will impact their business's performance for those already in business and encourage those who aren't currently engaged in business activities to start economic activities by utilising the knowledge and training they have received.

We shall continue mentoring and supporting all women who complete the course for as long as necessary until they start an economic activity. We shall also help them access funding from the county government if possible. Many other women are still in need of training and mentoring. We hope to continue extending support to as many women as possible in Mandera County in the coming years. We are hopeful our incredible donors and supporters will join us in this journey. We appreciate your past support and humbly request you to stand with us this coming Tuesday, 30th of November (The Giving Tuesday 2021).

Thank you, and may God bless you.
