Bronze Award in School Enterprise Challenge

By Eliana Valdez | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We are thrilled to share some extraordinary news from the Mbaracayú Educational Center!

This year, our second-year students embarked on a journey of entrepreneurship by participating in the esteemed international "School Enterprise Challenge” competition. This global initiative fosters the entrepreneurial spirit of youth worldwide, encouraging them to conceptualize and manage a school-based enterprise. Their endeavor culminated in the Bronze Award for Best Annual Report, showcasing their product, ILEX Artisanal Soaps. Crafted from Yerba Mate, a herbal tea cherished for its role in one of Paraguay's most beloved traditional beverages, these soaps not only bear a name but also symbolize a promotion of the scientific identity of Yerba Mate, known as "Ilex Paraguariensis".

Beyond a monetary prize of 1,000 pounds, the real value our students take away are practical experiences and valuable skills such as creativity, teamwork, communication and problem solving, all essential to their future success in any endeavor.

This achievement is particularly significant as it was reached by competing against thousands of teams from all around the world and it would not have been possible without the unconditional support of each and every one of you, our dear donors.

Your ongoing support for this project not only drives the success of our young women but also empowers them to be agents of change in society, well-equipped to continue their education, explore future professional opportunities, or even generate employment.

Thank you once again for your support.
