Challenge

The problem faced by people in treatment for substance use disorders is their limited access to employment opportunities, which deepens their social and economic vulnerability. Without meaningful work, they struggle to rebuild their lives. This project offers a path to social reintegration through skill-building workshops, creating opportunities that foster personal growth and inclusion while addressing barriers to their reintegration.

Solution

This project will provide vocational training in artisanal candle-making and other crafts to people in treatment for substance use disorders. By offering hands-on workshops, participants gain technical skills, confidence, and a supportive work environment. The products they create will be sold, providing them with income, fostering social inclusion, and helping to break the cycle of marginalization, enabling them to rebuild their lives.

Long-Term Impact

he long-term impact of this project will be the sustainable reintegration of individuals facing substance use disorders into society through meaningful employment. By empowering participants with marketable skills, we aim to reduce stigma and promote social acceptance. Additionally, the project will foster economic independence, allowing participants to support themselves and their families.
