4th Update on Empowering Greek Rural Heroes with Business Skills

By Erica Lympousi | Development Associate

As planned, the new cycle of the “AgroAnelixi – Farmers of the Future” 2025 program was officially launched in April 2025, alongside the opening of the application process for interested agrifood businesses across Greece.

This year, 12 businesses from various regions of the country were selected to participate in the program. Between April and May 2025, the selection process was completed, and by June, the online educational workshops had begun. These workshops, which run through July 2025, cover key areas such as:

  • Digital marketing for agrifood
  • Export and sales strategies
  • Supply chain and logistics
  • Sustainability in agrifood

In this cycle, we are proud to collaborate with TÜV Austria, whose team of experts in food safety and hygiene will join our staff in conducting on-site visits to all participating businesses. These visits are scheduled to take place between July and October 2025, with each session lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours, offering personalized feedback and practical guidance directly at the production site.

In parallel, between June and September 2025, the participants will benefit from one-on-one consulting sessions, tailored to their individual needs and challenges. These personalized meetings aim to support each business in developing and refining their strategic growth plans.

The 2025 cycle of AgroAnelixi is expected to conclude in late October or early November, with a closing networking event that will bring together this year’s participants, program partners, and members of the broader agrifood community.

We are proud of the impact AgroAnelixi continues to have on small agrifood businesses across Greece. With each cycle, we strive to strengthen the capabilities of producers, cooperatives, and agrifood entrepreneurs, empowering them to grow sustainably, innovate, and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

We invite you to support the AgroAnelixi program. Together, we can empower these businesses to scale up, innovate, and thrive in the agrifood sector.

Thank you for being part of this journey!
