A new year has finished and the girls had lots of reasons to celebrate their year’s achievements. That is why they decided to team up outside the field and cook empanadas – traditional Argentinian meal- to sell them and raise money to travel all together, and not only did all of our staff joined forces, but also the girls families as they joined us during the cooking day.
Camping for two days outside the city, facing new challenges all together, having fun and celebrating was the goal for the team. It surpassed expectations and despite the heavy rain, nothing could cloud the happiness of celebrating a year full of learnings and life long lasting friendships.
With lots of extra activities, programing, deep conversations and a great team of friends a new year has finished, it is time to make a balance and plan for a fresh start to empower a new team out of poverty during 2019. We count on you to help us make it a reality.
On a general note, we celebrated the end of the year with all our programs participants and their families in a carnival-like activity in the community park with lots of games. It was a day packed with fun where we could see the results of everything we worked for during the year.
