Girls' Power Initiative (GPI) Calabar Centre successfully held its 28th Graduation and Public Education Ceremony for 2025, which also coincided with the commemoration of International Youth Day themed “Youth Advancing in Technology and Partnership.”
A total of 38 young women graduated as certified Peer Educators after completing GPI’s intensive three-year training in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) and Entrepreneurial Development. These graduates are now equipped to serve as peer educators and positive change agents within their communities.
The event featured goodwill messages, creative performances, a keynote presentation by a GPI alumna, and heartfelt testimonials from parents highlighting the programme’s lasting impact.
The ceremony reaffirmed GPI’s ongoing commitment to empowering girls, advancing gender equality, and nurturing a new generation of confident, informed, and visionary young women
