During this reporting period, our project did not receive any online donations through GlobalGiving. Nevertheless, GTO-Pakistan continued its commitment to empowering vulnerable girls by organizing an awareness-raising session in Kasur using its limited internal resources.
The session brought together 39 girls working in hand-embroidery units. The GTO-Pakistan team provided them with practical, in-depth information about the fundamental rights and protections guaranteed to girls and women under the laws of Pakistan. Participants were also encouraged to recognize violations of their rights, speak up against exploitation and seek support from relevant institutions when needed.
The girls participated actively, shared their experiences and expressed a strong interest in further learning opportunities. With support from donors, GTO-Pakistan hopes to expand these educational activities and help more disadvantaged working girls pursue education, understand their rights and build safer, more hopeful futures.
