This project will provide menstrual hygiene education and reusable pads to 5,000 secondary school girls in Kogi and Nasarawa states, Nigeria, promoting health, dignity, and education.
Menstrual hygiene is a significant challenge in Nigeria, with 70% of girls lacking access to sanitary products (UNICEF, 2020). This leads to absenteeism, health issues, and stigma, perpetuating gender inequality.
We will conduct workshops, distribute reusable pads, and engage with parents and teachers to promote menstrual hygiene education. This will enhance girls' health, confidence, and academic performance
Long-Term Impact:_ By addressing menstrual hygiene, we will contribute to gender equality, improved health outcomes, and increased educational attainment. This project will create a lasting impact by empowering girls to take control of their bodies and futures.
