Embark on a transformative journey with us as we target Kinawataka's pressing issues of teenage pregnancies and sexual violence. Through dialogues, innovative by-laws, and evidence-based research, we're empowering girls, fostering accountability, and creating a safer environment. By uniting with government bodies, community leaders, CSOs, and parents, we aim to instigate lasting changes in societal norms and policies surrounding girls' reproductive rights.
Adolescent girls face elevated risks of unintended pregnancies and sexual violence, stemming from educational disparities, economic hardship, and gender inequality. These challenges are further compounded by a lack of access to essential reproductive health services and a limited understanding of their rights and protections. Together, we are committed to empowering these girls, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to overcome these obstacles and emerge as leaders.
First, community dialogues will facilitate engagement across stakeholders, addressing crisis management for victims and garnering community-wide consensus on addressing perpetrators. Then, the project will craft a community by-law, focusing on combating sexual violence, fortifying accountability, and safeguarding the rights of adolescent girls. Lastly, research will probe the link between sexual violence and unintended pregnancies, examining insights for intervention design and policy shaping.
The project targets establishing functional structures for engagement with relevant authorities, to support these girls. A community by-law will go a long way in fostering community order. Media visibility, legal precedents, and enhanced protection mechanisms are expected to yield substantial influence, setting a positive example for other communities. Ultimately, the project envisions empowering, secure, reproductive rights-exercising environments for adolescent girls, free from violence.
