The Outreach Program is what connects Rafiki Mwema to the world outside that our children return to, away from the sanctuary of Doyle Farm.
The program is about continuity – of family bonding, of connection – and making sure a relationship that was once broken is rebuilt on a solid foundation of care and safety.
So far this year the Outreach Team has made 316 visits to children who have returned home, accompanied children currently at Doyle Farm to 90 home visits and supported 64 sleepovers where a child can spend a longer time with their family before returning home permanently.
At a recent home visit, the very first for this child, the keyworker found a warm everyday scene with chores and visiting friends, and a mother happy to see her daughter again after some time apart.
Mum was delighted to hear an update on her daughter, who's thriving in our care, and she told us more than once how grateful she is for everything you've made possible. Her dearest hope is to see justice for her girl, and we'll keep walking alongside her until that day comes.
These first visits matter more than they might seem. They're how trust begins. Thanks to you, we'll be back every month, building a steady relationship with this family so that when their daughter is ready to return home, the ground beneath her will be firm. That's what your support builds — not just safety, but a place to come back to.
