Bhumi's RTE campaign in Tamil Nadu is dedicated to maximizing the impact of the RTE Act. In 2022, Bhumi facilitated over 3,200 admissions, partnering with organizations like Indus Action for effective implementation. The campaign aims to ensure every child receives a quality education through comprehensive outreach efforts and community engagement, laying a foundation for a brighter future.
Millions of children in India, especially from underprivileged backgrounds, face barriers to accessing quality education. Educational disparities persist, hindering their development and perpetuating cycles of poverty. Children who belong to lower backgrounds, don't have access to go to school and study, hence they don't step out of their homes to go to school, and either prefer to do labor work to earn some money to run their families.
Bhumi's RTE campaign addresses these challenges by leveraging the provisions of Section 12 (1) (c) of the RTE Act. By raising awareness about RTE rights and supporting parents through the admission process, Bhumi ensures that more underprivileged children can access free education in private schools. This project aims to democratize educational opportunities, breaking down barriers and enabling children to fulfill their potential.
In the long term, Bhumi's RTE initiative seeks to create a more equitable education system. By empowering children with education, especially girls and marginalized groups, the project aims to uplift communities and reduce socio-economic disparities. Increased access to quality education can transform lives, opening doors to better opportunities and fostering social mobility.
