We are excited to share with you the first report of our first project!
The students of Romeo Luna Victoria School are starting the program this June. They are teenagers between 14 to 19 years old, who arrived to Lima from the countryside (inner Peruvian provinces), many of them escaping from violence (sexual abuse, physical violence) at their homes.
With Luisa Hurtado, an experienced coach, leading the intervention, and the support of the school mayor and the teachers, we are confident of the results that are about to come.
Maria Socorro Juscamaita, the school mayor, told us during a coordination meeting yesterday afternoon: 'This kids are lonely, suffering because of their past and because of their loneliness. We would love to help them improve their auto perception, their possibilities; but the resources we have are not enough. What we are about to do together with this program is going to change their life for good. Please say thank you to each one of the generous people that make a donation to support them!'
Thank you!
They are no longer alone because of you.
With gratitude,
Claudia Esparza
President
