Gracias a lo recaudado en este proyecto, pudimos dar asistencia a una cooperativa del Itsmo de Oaxaca.
La cooperativa OMEI (Organización de Mujeres Emprendedoras del Itsmo) se encuentra en el estado de Oaxaca, y se dedican a la venta de productos y artesanías de la región del Itsmo de Oaxaca elaborados por ellas mismas.
Ellas se capacitaron en habilidades blandas y duras en el programa Avancemos por la Igualdad, un programa de ONU Mujeres y Bonafont y operado por CREA.
En abril de 2020, se organizaron para elaborar 160 caretas de protección para que médicos y médicas del hospital general de Juchitán “Macedonio Benítez Fuentes” y bomberos y protección civil puedan estar protegidos frente a la pandemia Covid-19.
Por iniciativa propia y con recursos propios, aprendieron a confeccionar las caretas, sanitizarlas y entregarlas de forma segura.
Desde Crea Comunidades de Emprendedores Sociales A.C. les dimos acompañamiento en todo este proceso y las ayudamos a difundir sus productos en redes sociales para que puedan generar más ingresos para su comunidad.

The OMEI cooperative (Organization of Women Entrepreneurs of the Itsmo) is located in the state of Oaxaca, and they are dedicated to selling products and handicrafts from the Itsmo region of Oaxaca made by themselves.
They were trained in soft and hard skills in the Avancemos por la Igualdad program, a program by UN Women and Bonafont and operated by CREA.
In April 2020, they organized to prepare 160 masks of protection so that doctors from the Juchitán General Hospital "Macedonio Benítez Fuentes" and firefighters and civil protection can be protected against the Covid-19 pandemic.
On their own initiative and with their own resources, they learned to make the masks, sanitize them and deliver them safely.
From Crea Communities of Social Entrepreneurs A.C. we supported them throughout this process and helped them spread their products on social networks so that they can generate more income for their community.
