This project empowers economically disadvantaged women with little or no education.Training and microfinance support helps women to regain economic independence, value and self-esteem.
Many disadvantaged women in Ivory Coast do not have access to the training and resources that will help them become independent and financially sufficient. Due to little or no education, they are powerless and locked in a vicious cycle. This project seeks to reduce the rate of poverty and illiteracy amongst women especially in the densely populated area of Abidjan, specifically Yopougon.
Women are trained in vocational courses including catering, tie- dyeing, sewing, adult Literacy. Later, they will establish their own businesses through a Microfinance program. This will empower them with basic educational tools for success.
This project builds up their self esteem. Owning their own business and wisely managing their finances provides the opportunity for economic independence and empowerment. This project will transform their lives.
