Work, lots of work !

The technical team of the Foundation, made many trainings to the Local Experts, to ensure the good execution of the work during the last months of 2021 and the first months of 2022. As in this season, we are entering the rainy season (and that makes it very difficult for the team to enter the field, as there are no roads). This way we ensure the follow-up and the good execution of the work.

We started to work with some families (models) for a pilot project.Economic income through family micro-business. For its realization, we have looked for really motivated families (in the first place) so that, with the support of the technicians of the Foundation and the Local Experts, they could define what could be their new source of income. Some families decided to open a small grocery store, others a workshop to repair motorcycles, another one to collect the corn ...
Having already the ideas, we worked with the families to make a business plan, distribution channels and who would be their customers. They are also being trained in accounting (simple) and stock/warehouse management.

We also want, as an incentive, to give them the opportunity to have a small start-up fund. So that the families already have the possibility to buy their first needs for their business.

The work of the Local Experts will be to follow up with these families and answer their questions and doubts.

We are very happy about this new adventure, and if the pilot project is successful, next year we will extend it to many more families.
