Challenge

Every day in the U.S., over 100 people die due to gun violence, leaving communities devastated and families grieving. From mass shootings to unintentional firearm injuries, gun violence disproportionately affects vulnerable populations, including children and historically marginalized communities. Despite public demand for reform, dangerous lobbying efforts and misinformation campaigns by the gun industry hinder progress toward safer communities.

Solution

Everytown addresses gun violence through a multifaceted approach: Community Violence Intervention (CVI): Through the Community Safety Fund, we've supported 136 organizations in 69 cities, using targeted interventions to reduce gun violence where it's most prevalent. Public Education: Our Be SMART program educates millions of households about secure gun storage. Litigation: Everytown Law litigates against reckless gun manufacturers and sellers, achieving key victories such as shutting down ghost

Long-Term Impact

This project will save lives by addressing the root causes of gun violence and fostering safer communities. By reducing gun-related homicides, suicides, and unintentional shootings, we aim to create a sustainable, ripple effect that benefits generations. With continued support, Everytown will shape a future where gun violence is no longer a public health crisis.
