Your support can help us grow a thriving network of over 2250 women who are growing their businesses, accessing training and becoming leaders in their communities. Each success story is a testament to their determination and belief that they can create a ripple effect of intergenerational change. Our micro-entreprenuers have helped many other women to start their journey to improve their income as they distribute products such as solar lights, water filters and clean cooking appliances.
In India and Nepal, 288.5 million people live below the poverty line, facing instability in low-wage jobs that perpetuate intergenerational poverty. Gender discrimination exacerbates the situation for women, who bear the brunt of household chores and lack access to resources, education, and employment opportunities. Pollinate Group addresses these challenges by empowering marginalised women as entrepreneurs, providing them with income, skills, and leadership roles.
Given the scale of poverty across India and Nepal and the growing need to address economic and climate related challenges, Pollinate Group's model is of critical importance in providing support to marginalised communities most at risk. Our goal is to scale our network of women micro-entrepreneurs to 5000 by the end of 2025. Our impact model, focusing on poverty, gender, and climate, has already reached over 2250 women, impacting 877,000 people and reducing 1.7 million tonnes of CO2e.
Our vision is a world where women are equipped to lead their communities out of poverty. We recognize an urgent need among women in marginalised communities for access to training and employment opportunities. To address this need, we are focused on scaling our model to empower 5,000 women micro-entrepreneurs by 2025, impacting 5 million people across India and Nepal. The ripple effect of this change will lift generations out of poverty and ensures communities are more resilient.
