Dear Well Wishers…….
This year sees many of our wonderful children of Manavya at the onset of their career were being in 10th and 12th they happen to walk the road of success with their hard work and determination. This year we have about 12 children who are appearing for 10th as well as about 2 children appearing for 12th.
All these children have being preparing earnestly for their examination with utmost priority given to academic performance at Manavya. The children are trained from their childhood to take up studies with seriousness and thus by the time they reach at this stage they are attuned to handle the educational fortifiers with ease.
Obviously students touch the first crossroads when they have completed 10th and 12th standards, hence the children are extremely cognizant about their studies and the future that lies ahead of them.
We often had a question coming from Sapana as to what should I do after my 10th but by the time she was in 10th not only she but even we were convinced that she has to take up her career in baking and confectionary as her inclination in cooking was deciphered by us and we even made her realize her potential in this field.
There is a problem of plenty, too many career choices and too much at stake, what we do at Manvaya is to train sharp youngster like Sapana to make the right move. Similarly we have worked out with each case who are appearing for 10th and 12th to understand their area of proficiency and interest.
Communication skill development session:
Tutors from Tata motors initiated communication skills workshop for our children, to improve and enhance their present standards of communication, presentation, and styles of interacting with others when they are dealing with the outside world. Till now, they have conducted three sessions in which they have covered the crucial aspects of our personality such as our body language, facial expressions, clarity in talking and interacting, confidence and assertiveness in conveying any message, our mastery over the language in which we are communicating, decision making and problem solving abilities, leading qualities and so on. In first session, they took two games from which they tried to unfold the concept of effective communication with our children. In the second session they assessed the current levels of English writing, comprehension, and reading that are prevalent amongst our kids. In the third session, they conducted various vocabulary games in order to strengthen the language quality while interacting with others.
Our Volunteer’s Support:
Volunteers of Manavya are a backbone of our institute who play a vital role in addressing number of issues related to the children’s study. The volunteers are of imperative help especially during the examination period as many of them come forward to take studies of our children. Also their expertise are utilized for helping the children solve their queries in studies.
Few of our volunteers also conducted a very noteworthy activity wherein children were asked to solve last year paper so that they get a feel of what the board examination are and thus make them contented that they are very well prepared for the final examination.
Mohit our Special Child:
One of our differently abled or special category children, Mohit who have been enrolled in a Larc school run by Prism Foundation, got a golden opportunity to show a hidden spark in him not just before his school, but this time he crossed all the local boundaries of his region and district and directly made an eagle’s jump by being part of the Maharashtra State team for the National level floor hockey tournament for special children organized every year under the banner of ‘Special Olympics Bharat’. Our child denoted a miraculous performance in all of the 3 matches in which he played throughout the tournament, and won a golden medal for his individual as well as team performance. Maharashtra State team remained unbeatable in this tournament and earned gold medal by clearing all the initial as well as final rounds.
