Empowering 50 HIV+ kids in India through education

A very warm greeting from Manavya Family and special greeting from our wonderful children.

Manavya has been on its move for the orphaned HIV positive children who are not so privileged to get opportunities like any other normal children. But we at Manavya want our children to get a secured and standard and secured lifestyle. Out of many initiatives taken for children we have always tried to do something different and challenging for the children which is formulated so as to give the children strong scholastic and vocational up bring.

Special Coaching classes for our children:

As you are aware that children in higher classes are given proper tutoring and instruction so as they flair well in their academic performance. With this expectancy we have commenced a special activity in the coaching classes under the acute guidance of a special tutor who has aptitude to guide our children who need special attendance in subjects like mathematic, English and science. Our tutor has designed series of assignment and important notes which help the children to get command over the subject. These assignment help the children to face the examination with confidence and excellent result

Career Guidance workshop:

Today our children aspire to make it big in fields like fine arts, engineering and commerce with this aim we had a career guidance session for the children of 8^th to 10the standard students who are at the threshold of beginning a bright future. You have to be very objective in deciding career and doing so we got help in form of a career guidance counselor. This session aimed at helping our children to make career choice and thus make them self-sufficient.   To help children comprehend their own aptitude, interest, IQ and more over their field of liking this career counselling workshop was conducted. This workshop was conducted by a career counselor who personally had a dialogue with our children to understand them and accordingly guided them.    

Vocational and Hobby Training Program:

Our children other than making a niche in academics have also taken keen interest in extracurricular and vocational activities. Manavya has conducted such program to make the children independent and give them an opportunity in earning. We commenced classes for quilling which is beautiful art from which various items like earing, card flames etc. can be made. These item made by our children are often exhibited which help are children earn meagre amount but turns out to be motivational factor for them. Similarly we conducted rangoli workshop was conducted as this art is an integral part of Maharashtrian culture where these children can get an opportunity from institutes for rangoli making.     

 Ram and Mohit our special children:

 Mohit whose CD count drastically dropped in past few months had to be moved from ART line 2 to ART line 3 medication. Manavya family has gone ahead of taking great care of Mohit by providing a healthy life style and proper nutritional diet due to which it was possible for him to participate in sports competition where he flared very well. In spite of his health drawbacks due to appropriate care and healthy diet prepared by our expert cook has helped him fight back all the odds and make it through with success in this competition. Also Ram participated in this sports event were he displayed extra vigor and was extremely boisterous throughout the event.
