Weekend Karate coaching for all

Coaching for Karate is been started for all the Children in Gokul. This will help to channelize their energy with constructive skills. One of our Volunteer Mr. Vinod has taken this initiative. This will also help the children to increase their stamina, resistance & get acquainted with the skills of self defense.

Children are happy with this initiative taken. We are planning to take this further. Advanced training can be given to the children who will show added interest in learning.

Art Based Therapy for Manavya Children

‘Arts- Based Therapy’ or ABT is an integrated use of different art forms to bring about healing, growth and change. It uses a combination of music, drama, movement, dance, imagery, poetry, visual art and storytelling. ABT is based on the understanding that each person possesses intellect, body, emotions and subtle energy fields. The aim of ABT is to bring each dimension in balance and release all interferences. Art forms such as (music, dance, drama, etc.) have the capacity to stimulate all of these dimensions of a human being. Art forms are known to be healers by themselves and thereby through the use of play, imagination and metaphors, an individual can, with the help of the therapist change perception or simulate alternative realities.

With the help of our Volunteer, we have introduced this program for few children on experimental bases. A continuous assessment of the progress will be done for 2-3 months to know the changes happening in these children.

We hope that it will bring good improvement in them. On successful completion of the fist program, we can go further to introduce the same for other children as well.

Mohit named Man of the Match at district level Football Match & Ram is been appreciated for his academic progress

Mohit & Ram are slow learners & hence, they are enrolled in a special school for such children. Mohit has participated in district level football match. An initiative was taken to organize a football match for differently abled children. He played as a game changer & helped the team to win the match. Man of the match award was given to him for his outstanding efforts.

Ram is showing good progress in his studies. Looking at his improvement, we are planning to admit him to Phoenix school. It is a special school for slow learners but for those are showing interests in studies. We have discussed the case with the Principle of the school & she has started the further procedure. The management will be doing a evaluation of his progress & if they are satisfied with assessment, he will be shifted to Phoenix School. This will help him to pursue his further education & appear for 10th grade through National Institute of Open Schooling.
