Report – Empowerment through Education
We are glad to share our report with you all. This is the time for festival & full of enjoyment for the children.
Educational Highlights:
Our two girls Moni and Pradnya who are doing the “Advance Diplomain Fashion Desiging” at Karve Institute, Pune. They are doing well at their course. They learnt a various new patterns & various styles of dress designing at their collage. It also has the advantage of increasing the tailoring unit of Manavya. Ms. Moni has got an award of Miss. Fresher for this academic year in her collage.
All the children doing well in their respective fields. Our two children have taken an admission for 1st year, Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunication. They have taken admission in renowned collage & doing well in their academics. In the last month we have them to stay at hostel of “Student Welfare Association”, where they can live with other students from various fields. This will help them to manage their own things and to become independent. Manavya is supporting them by providing monthly conveyance expenditure, stationary, books, collage fees, just like Parents send their children out for better education but they always look after to their children.
One of our boy Akshay is not much interested in taking academic education or any formal education. Instead of this he has done the course of 4 wheeler driving & in future he wants to work for Manavya & want to be a part of Manavya team. Currently he is working at vegetable stall, in Market yard.
Our boy Prathamesh is interested in technical studies and he is also quite intelligent in the technical work. But he is not interested in taking any formal education. He has been sent to Basic Rural Technology Development (DBRT) course in Vigyan Ashram, Pabal, Pune. He was interested in agricultural hence sent for Development (DBRT) course. The average duration of course is of one year. Along with Prathamesh our two more children Yash & Sandesh is also gone to DBRT course at Vigyan Ashram, Pabal.
It is always our primary intention that children stand on their own feet. They should not have any problem to behave in society once they are out of the Manavya. That's why we sincerely hope that well-wishers like you should come together to help our children get the jobs in community.
Festival Celetration:
This is the quarter of full of enjoyment and full of festival. Children all together enjoyed all the festivals a lot. Celebrated Dahi handi, Rakshabandhan, Ganesh Utsav etc.Every year, children celebrate all the festivities with enthusiasm. The entire atmosphere in the organization was festive with festivals.
Like every year, the Raksha Bandhan program was celebrated with enthusiasm. Children had the feeling of helping others during the times of difficulty.
Distributed Cloths to the Flood Victims:
Due to the heavy rains, floods in Kolhapur caused a great deal of damage. For this, our children offered a helping hand to the flood victims.
Children were urged to help the flood victims to create social awareness among the children. They responded very strongly to this call and deposited extra clothes, and bedding. This showed their unselfish attitude and philanthropic spirit. Through such initiatives, children's awareness of social responsibility will become more fulfilled and as children are an integral part of society, it is believed that social commitment will be enhanced.
