Introduction:
The start of the quarter was delightful as it ends on an auspicious occasion of Ganesh Utsav with a traditional celebration. The last quarter of Manavya was so much of activities, lots of volunteers & well wishers visited Manavya & spent a nice time with our children. Overall the quarter was a perfect blend of learning new things, team work & hard work.
On academic frontiers:
v One of our bright student Sainath started education in the field of ‘Web Designing’ in the unique skill development centre, Pune. This is a certification course of 6 months which will provide him a good carrier opportunity in near future. Sainath enthusiastically participated in course & learning new things in the field of technology.
v Our girl child Komal studying in 1st year B.A and doing a good progress in her academics. She has got a price for “Nice Student” in her collage assembly.
v Anjali got 1st rank in her 11th std, MCVC, Electronics course & also got a Best Student Award in her collage. She is doing hard work in her studies
Other Activities:
As this quarter was also a quarter of Christmas vacations, we organized many one day workshops and training programs for the children in order to enhance their knowledge and skills. The aim of these workshops was to give them fun as well as to learn new things to enhance creativity.
Kitchen Gardening - Mrs. Sayali Malvatkar conducted kitchen gardening workshop for children. She taught children how to make composting to encourage the beneficial bacteria for the better growth of plants & how to add nutrients to the soil to grow healthy plants which was conducted
on 14th of Nov. This helps children to do in house plantation. Children planted almost 10-15 plants in the premises.
Library Painting:
One of our old partners “Bookwalla Foundation” gave us the donation by way of renovation of English book library in the premises of Manavya Gokul. This helps children to feel fresh & positive while studying in library. They help us to do painting work in the library & also change a old furniture from the library.
In the library their volunteer did a wall painting of “Phoenix Bird”. This is very motivated painting for children as phoenix signifies renewal, hope, and a new life reborn from the ashes.
