This quarter was a mix of pressure as well as fun and folic. Pressure of examination which was then followed by a long Diwali vacation. The children vigorously studied for the examination and then enjoyed the vacation to the fullest.
This quarter we often have to distribute the energies of the children among studies and enjoyment packed vacation and to say we often are successful in doing so.
Every child has the urge to be made to feel special. It is no different with Manavya children and what better than the Children’s Day on 14th November. Mahindra club organized a fun filled day for the children where there explored the outside world. Such program often help the children to boost their self-esteem because they feel a part of being accepted by the community.
On the occasion of Christmas the children had an opportunity to celebrate this festival with one of our partner in the outdoor of Manavya. Every moment was filled with happiness where they got an opportunity to explore the outside world.
Akshay who is a NCC cadet has a liking in sports and is complete athlete has over shined in his performance at the NCC Camp and won a silver medal.
The superhero of Manavya again showed his mettle at the Special Olympics by winning a bronze medal in football. In spite of being a metal slow child Mohit has won in most of the walk of his life may it be school, job or the game that he plays with passion.
Manavya celebrated the AIDs week with a commitment of spreading a message that HIV is no more a stigmatic disease. Our aim was to let the community know various methods to avert AIDs and also is among us any AIDs patient how to deal with them.
To enhance the knowledge of science a workshop was conducted which aimed at teaching the children the constellation of various stars and planets. This workshop was specifically designed to be conducted at the night time where the stars can be viewed unblemished. Every moment was enjoyed by the children with the help of binoculars which was arranged by the Science department.
A Health and Hygiene workshop turned to be so fruitful for the children where they were introduced to basic daily care to be taken. Also they were introduced to how to maintain a daily hygienic routine which would lead into a healthy lifestyle.
Children in 10th were all geared up for the final examination, by appearing for Preliminary examination which was conducted in January the children are now well prepared for the finals.
