Join SerVers MX to provide socio-emotional skills to 450 students from vulnerable high schools in Mexico through 45 recreational workshops. With your support, they will be able to acquire skills that allow them to self-manage a better quality of life and make decisions for greater well-being. Together we are that ray of hope for those young people from 15 to 20 years immersed in a series of disadvantages that deprive them of receiving an integral and quality education.
In Mexico, young people are exposed to many types of violence, homicide is the leading cause of death and the number of suicides has increased in recent years. In the next few years, our youth will be at its all-time high, and without proper preparation, that great growth opportunity for the country will be lost. Some of the disadvantages that young people present are: insufficient educational training and the difficulty for integration into the decent labor market.
In ServersMX, our way of contributing to strengthen the youth of Mexico is through life skills, also called social-emotional skills. Through 45 recreational workshops we will generate experiences that allow 450 students from Ciudad Juarez, Leon and Queretaro to reflect on their emotions, relationships and environment, develop skills and competencies that allow them to make decisions to increase their quality of life.
We train young university students who want to contribute to Mexico's social transformation through the improvement in education. We train them in life skills and as facilitators. They teach the workshops in vulnerable schools in the country, achieving a multiplier effect and reach more students. With these workshops we support that more young people complement their education, we encourage permanence in school, we increase their job skills, and we provide protection tools for violence.
