Empowering 140 disabled children in Toba Tek Singh

Joy Foundation was founded in 2009 by a group of young people for the empowerment and betterment of the disabled community as they were the most neglected of all. At present Joy Foundation is not only working for the disabled empowerment but many other thematic areas as well. With the previous donations for the project wheel chairs were distributed among the deserving persons with disabilities, who were neglected and were not provided opportunities and they were not considered equal members of the society.

Sahil is a student of Joy Foundation School. Before the Joy Foundation School existed in village Dullam the children had to go to another village to school but Sahil could not do so because of his disability. After the opening of Joy Foundation school in village Dullam, Sahil’s parents requested Joy Foundation to help their child receive quality education along with other children in our school. So Sahil started coming to Joy Foundation school along with other students. Joy Foundation provided him with wheel chair and also supported him for his education. He received his wheel chair, books and school uniform and was very happy for the support. Joy Foundation believes in equality and inclusion for all.

We hope that soon we will have more funds for this project so that Joy Foundation can reach out to more people and children like Sahil, who are waiting for help as they are vulnerable and need all the support that they deserve.
