At Restaurando las Familias Foundation, we believe that meaningful change is built through consistent relationships and ongoing education. During this reporting period, we organized a series of interactive recreational workshops to remain connected with the adolescents and children participating in our EmpowerED: Sexual and Reproductive Health for Teens program.
Rather than traditional lectures, these sessions were designed as safe, welcoming spaces where participants could learn through games, group activities, conversations, and collaborative exercises. This approach encouraged active participation and allowed everyone to express their ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another without fear of judgment.
The workshops focused on sexual and reproductive health from a holistic perspective. Beyond providing age-appropriate information, we emphasized the importance of self-respect, personal dignity, healthy relationships, and the values that help young people make responsible decisions throughout their lives. At our foundation, we believe that every child and teenager should recognize their inherent worth and understand that they deserve to be treated with respect and care.
These ongoing gatherings also strengthen the trust between our team and the participants. By maintaining regular contact, we continue building an environment where young people feel heard, supported, and confident enough to discuss topics that are often difficult to address elsewhere.
We are deeply grateful to our GlobalGiving donors for making these continuous educational opportunities possible. Your support enables us to provide not only knowledge but also encouragement, guidance, and hope as we help young people grow into confident, informed, and resilient individuals.
