Five year old Fatimah has already experienced more sadness than you could imagine.
You see, Fatimah was born during the conflict in Syria and has lived her whole life knowing a world of destroyed buildings and fractured families. Her father - the one person who she felt safest with - died of a stroke in 2019, and since then, her mama, Rajaa, has struggled to support Fatimah’s basic needs.
Despite all this, Fatimah continues to smile and find joy in the world around her. She spends her days dreaming about when she will finally get to go to school. Her mother is worried: she wants to send Fatimah to school but as things stand, it isn’t an option. She can hardly afford their basic needs, and can’t see how she will be able to pay for Fatimah’s education.
That's where we come in.
With your support, NuDay is changing the future of girls like Fatimah. Fatimah - and others like her - was enrolled in NuDay's sponsorship program, where donors directly ensure that she can attend school and rebuild her future. This, paired with NuDay's work to improve local infrastructure for the long-term, makes a lifetime of a difference in ensuring that the future of Syria is educated.
Together, we're making a real impact.
